For those that said that beauty comes from within..
You believe that say.. Nicole Kidman for example.. Lets say she is a really big snob..
This in my opinion does not change the fact she is beautiful, but as beauty comes from within, and being beautiful is having, or exhibiting this, she cannot possibly be beautiful, as she does not display this.
The fact is, she is beautiful, regardless of what she is like.

I believe that 'beauty' is a physical thing.
This only changes when you add the word inner in front of it.

This is simply because eyes cannot be delighted from seeing a stranger with inner 'beauty'.

So generally speaking, most people are beautiful?
And if this is the case, why does it need to be said more, if such a high population possess beauty..
(going on inner beauty as the definition of beauty)

If i were to walk up to a physically 'ugly' person, and say... You're beautiful, they would take it as an insult more often than not.
BUT, if beauty was considered to come from inside, why would the more often than not people be offended by my comments?
BTW, I'm realllly bored!

Beauty needs to be redefined in that dictionary, like you said, it it was true, no-one could be beautiful until you truly know them, which is true. Beautiful is like a replacement word for special or pleasing. I think people hear it so much they don't take it in and just feel bad or ugly, so I tend to rephrase it in a way people can understand and relate to themselves and their situation

I am not tired of hearing it. Physical beauty is a very subjective thing, and the most important thing to know about it is that it fades, and it fades pretty quickly, relatively speaking. Lasting beauty needs to come from within, and we are well advised to be developing that inner beauty throughout youth, so that when the realization hits that the physical beauty is really gone, there is another hand to play, so to speak. Nothing is sadder than an older person who is desperate to cling to their physical youth--it simply can't be done. Surgically stretched skin looks surgically stretched. There is no reason to retard our aging if we are truly growing the beauty within vs. just aging. So, I think we need to hear that beauty comes from within even more than we do.

My wife has a good reply for it.
"Sure beauty is only skin deep! What do you expect, a beautiful pancreas?"
Honestly, there are different types of beauty.
There is physical beauty as seen by a person. That is based on the person's opinions (Russians like fat women).
There is personal beauty. That is, again, subjective. I think my wife is wonderful and she thinks I am, though most call me annoying.
There is physical beauty in things other than people. That is also subjective. Some people think the sea is beautiful and some think the mountains are.
I would say that "beauty comes from within" but I would say that its from within the viewer. What they think is beautiful is more important.

I have considered people beautiful the first time I met them, but oddly enough as I started to know them once I found out they were bad people, their physical attributes appalled me and I thought they looked ugly because their personalities and looks meshed together. Also, inversely I met people that I thought were really ugly but once I got to know them and they were great people they started looking better on the outside because their inner beauty shined through.

That cliche is a good one, because it is true, but here's another cliche that is even better...
"Beauty is in the eye of the beholder." That one is even more true!
Honey, think on it this way...when we die and rot, we all get ugly, cuz ugly goes clear to the bone! ;)
