I am not a huge fan at all it is all too much for me and end up passing out .......... its a bit like having a Tommy tank with a gas mask on the nearer you get the more your breathing goes its like Xmas !!

It's just hassle for me now and a bit of a pain in the a*se, but I do love the drinking and general merriment, and of course it's great for the kids.

Now my kids are grown up, I don't like it anymore.
I hate new year even more though. A pointless number celebrated with complete strangers. The whole thing is false and ghastly.

That's sad. I love Christmas and everything about it. I'm not much of a birthday person though. I guess it all depends on whether you liked it as a kid

I love Christmas. The only problem is the build up to it. I'm always leaving things to the last minute.

i like the 2 weeks off work. not having to get out of bed in the freezing mornings. 2 weeks of winter out the way
