I don't know who Sarah Bolger is, but when I found out I was pregnant I called the doctor immediately to set up an appointment. My doctor's office wouldn't see me until I was at least 8 weeks along. My first appointment ended up being at 9 weeks. Some doctors wont see a pregnant woman until she is at least 12 weeks, so it just depends.

My doctor first saw me at 8 weeks, even though I found out at 4 weeks. Some doctors wait even longer.
But I don't know who Sarah Bolger is.

No most 1st time appointments aren't until 3 months. Unfortunately this is b/c of the higher miscarriage rate that most women have from weeks 1-12. It is completely normal. Every Dr.'s office is different but that is how mine have worked and then they see me every 4 weeks. Congrats!

Some people if not trying to conceive may never know that they are pregnant until about 3 months especially if one has an irregular menstruation cycle. She may think its just the usual cycle which skips...

well nobody knew about her pregnancy until recently when one of the friends she told leaked it to the public.
so her parents didn't know until then, so there was no way for her to get to a doctor about it.
3 months isnt so late. later than desired, but its no danger.
