I signed up for donotcall.gov list, and I continue to get calls from them, how long does it take to work? or did it work? what else can I do!!!
I feel sort of bad for these telemarketers because it is there job, but you know what once someone tells you no thanks, its NO THANKS!!! SO STOP CALLING!!!!

most all calls from telemarketers originate from out of this country ( india) with cloaked caller id information and ftc rules do not apply to those calls. Signing up for the ftc no call list is pretty much useless.

If you had an interest in a product at some point, such as a mortgage for example, they have a right to call you and offer you more or different products. Just keep telling them, "Put me on your DO NOT CALL LIST" You could try to complain to someone, but I doubt it would do much good.

It takes about 30 days to be in effect.

it takes up to a month for it to take affect once you sign up. then in 5 years you have to reregister your number.
