That's the beauty of digital imaging programs like Photoshop, PaintShop Pro and the like. You can select something from one photo and pop it into another with the use of layers and some other tools to finish off. The saying 'the camera never lies' doesn't hold good these days.

He used a graphic editor (such as PhotoShop, Paint Shop Pro, GIMP or even MS Paint).

He found a picture of someone close to his size and build standing next to Ronaldo. He then carefully copied his own head off of a photo of himself, and pasted it over the head in the photo.

If you are experienced with the graphic program, you can do that is under an hour and have it look very real.

Photo editing software such as Photoshop (costs over £300!) can be used to do things like this. I strated my digital photo manipultaion with MS Paint but I use Paint.NET and/ or Photoshop.

PS: Paint.NET is a free alternative to Adobe Photoshop

probably did it on Photoshop. Ronaldo may have been stood next to someone with his arm around him or something and he swapped his body (or just his head) for theirs.
