Yes.

The British RAF and the USAF run a test called JOUST, this evaluates aircraft using a complex system of programs, simulations and performance analysis against various aircraft.

The most recent test compared the main aircraft of the UK and the US against the Su 37. The results were as follows;

F-22 - 10.1 to 1
Typhoon - 4.5 to 1
Rafale - 1 to 1
F-15 - 0.8 to 1
F18+ - 0.4 to 1
F-18 - 0.3 to 1
F-16 - 0.3 to 1

This basically meant that for every 10.1 Su 37's shot down 1 F-22 would be lost. The Typhoon (Eurofighter) would shoot down 4.5 Su 37's for every Typhoon lost ect.

The F-16 fares the worst having roughly 4 F-16 shot down for every Su 37 taken out.

Since the SU-37 wasn't stealth, the F-22 would probably defeat it with an AMRAAM missile shot. In an actual dogfight, I think they would have been comparable. As Richthofen said, "The quality of the box matters little, success depends on the man who sits inside". It's a moot point since the SU-37 didn't go into production.

Yes. Previous answer said depends on the pilot. Make no mistake, the Air Force is not going to stick some plumber into the cockpit of a Raptor. Only the cream get fighters. Only the top of the cream get F-22s and F-35s.

Yes - few few of the aircraft that are shot down are lost in a dogfight. Usually the victim pilot's first clue that there is an enemy there is when the bullets or the missile hits.

The F-22 will fight from ambush and kill the SU-37 before the pilot even knows an enemy is around.

The first second the Su-37 pilot knew he was in harms way would be when the F-22s AIM-120 locked on. Game Over.

As far as the performance characteristics of the aircraft both are excellent aircraft. The F22 would have the edge of stealth and maybe just slightly better handling. But in the end you really need to look at who is in the pilots seat.

A SU 37 is an excellent fighter and one should not be bias since it is not American. Pilot skill is everything and especially if they are a tuned to the ability of the aircraft. Thrust vectoring technology can make a close quarters dog fights tuff for any skilled pilot. I hope we never have to find out when you think who owns these types of aircraft. Aviation is a fast moving technology. It you check the news the F-35b is being released and there is some neat footage.

Air Dominance in conflict is the substantial to Victory. The SU-37 is a in a position fighter, yet, the F-22 is a proved and pro fighter. The SU-37 would have the ingredient in capacity. yet!!!!!!!! What makes a Fighter plane/Jet great is the Pilots. united statesa. has a number of the main suitable Pilots contained in the international. there have been dissimilar situations Our Planes/Jets have been out gunned, had much less maneuverability and much less velocity. Our Pilots have been in a position to instruct the "Tide" and benefit air superiority! this is contained in the history Books and the enemy study their history. ;-D

If Eugeny Frolov is piloting the SU 37, I think it would be a good show. He was badass when they tested the SU 37 at the Russian Airshow in 1996.
