For the 10 month old I would stick w/ suckers candy (ones w/ the wrap around stick so easy to hold) , bath toys, play phone for that age so teething on toy won't tear up. usually like noise makers sometimes can find things to shake and makes cliking noise. For 3 yr old, I would get little miniture coloring book, washable crayons maybe disney princess ones, small bubbles, (good inside play) playdough w/ little cookie cutters. and some sort of candy my kids like M&Ms. And best of all you should be able to get all of this except the play phone at your local dollar store. So won't cost much.

We dont' do a lot of candy, not good for them, but for the 3 year old you can do hair clips or ponytail holders, stickers, little figurines (Dora or Elmo maybe), play doh, toothbrush, fancy hand soap, Beanie baby, Xmas ornament, a new shirt, some cute socks, bath toys, new undies, crayons, coloring book, mini magna doodle, music CD (Laurie Berkner, Disney), maybe a DVD, goldfish crackers or teddy grahams - the 3 year old should be easy.

For the 10 month old you can also do socks, bath toys, a Xmas ornament, new shirt or shoes, a Baby Einsein video, baby toothbrush, small stuffed animal, and maybe a couple jars of baby food or meat sticks. A couple Easters ago the "Easter Bunny" left some baby food for my 8 month old and my 4 year old thought it was the neatest thing ever. The stocking stuffers are more to keep the Santa illusion alive for your 3 year old since the little one doesn't really know what is going on.
Have fun with it!

I always put a toothbrush and toothpaste in there and bubble bath. It is just something I carried on from my childhood. So every year ther eis a new famncy charachter brush and matching toothpaste, usually the bubble bath matches aswell. This year (he is 2 and half) the toothbrish is just one shaped like a crayon and his bubble bath is shaped like Curious George with Curious George bath tints that are shaped like crayons.

Other things that are going in his stocking is a pair of mitts, a backyardigans flute, some dinkies, little bugs, a tube of little people, a couple of them crackers that you pull the ends of and they each have an ornament for his little tree, a max and ruby puzzle and he has a wooden Thomas the tank train.

Maybe you can put in buckles and brushes, some doll clothes or a small doll, crayons and coloring book or other art things, a stuffed toy.

Anything you put in there though will suprise them and make them happy, so it don't really matter. I usually only put in one or two things of candy, not much at all so that is why he gets a lot of toys in it I suppose. I also add in a clemintine and an apple, again somehting I just carried on from my childhood, and he even gets excited over the fruit haha.

Bath toys (rubber duckies and boats) are wonderful! Besides making bath time more fun for the girls, they will make it a lot easier for you to get them scrubbed up while they are playing with the toys. Mind, though, keep them strictly for bathtime only or you may end up arguing about bathtime!

For the 3 year old, add some simple small games that they will enjoy on a road trip.

For the 10 month old...oh honey, get some teething rings! It won't be long before you get into the "drooley" period and those are lifesavers!

I don;t use my kids' stockigs for this but I suppose you could. Each year beginnign with the years they were born, my children recieve a new Christmas ornament that signifies whatever that year held for them. For instance, this year, my 13 year old is getting a gold treble clef-she has become rather good at playign her clarinet adn LOVES music in AND out of class. Our 20 monthold has a Curious George ornament wearing the man's big yellow hat. And our 1 month old, of course, has a baby's first Christmas special one.
OUR tradition with them is that all of the previous years go on when the tree is decorated adn on Christmas Eve they unwrap their new ones and place them on the tree as well. You could easily make a tradition of putting up the old ones on Christmas Eve and the new ones being in their stockings to add Christmas morning. It would reinforce being together as a family and remembering on Christmas Eve when you put the old ones up. I absolutely LOVE this tradition with my children.

For the ten month old, some of those peek-a-blocks would be cute. They even have Christmas theme ones. And some baby spoons, some little Gerber puffs (or Cheerios), and maybe some socks. For the three-year-old, some chapstick, play-doh, crayons and coloring book, a kiddie necklace, some kind of candy...maybe a ring pop or something fun and novel, a book (something she likes), and hair stuff just for her. Have a happy holiday!

I have a 2 year old and put fun socks in it. Pretty ones with flowers and hearts, she loves them here lately. I got her a veiwmaster with care bears and curious george. I got her some hair ties, and a little watch for her to play with. She can't tell time but she'll love that she has it. Then I got her a few little candy things.

I had this problem too... I have a 1 and 2 year old... i got lots of candy for the 1 year old... that's really all, I got a few chewy toys, and a fish net with some fish for the tub

and the 2 year old got a lot of candy as well, along with hello kitty hand soap ( she has a fetish for washing her hands) and shampoo and body wash.... just little stupid things....

If you are planning to start on your woodworking project, this isn't something you should use, it's something that you would be insane not to. Go here https://tr.im/yCYTz
Truth is, I've been a carpenter for almost 36 years, and I haven't found anything like this for less than 10's of thousands of dollars.

The amazing thing about little kids is that they are thrilled with anything. I put age appropriate toothbrush and toothpaste for my kids, special kid designed band aids along with things like a box of Dora the Explorer animal crackers that I normally wouldn't buy them. You can also put in small stuffed Christmas animals and small board book story books. You can find many appropriate things at the dollar store.
