Ok so a month ago i get a run in with the CAS(cps equivalent) and they get a complaint from a public health nurse which was unverified. So shortly after them leaving they obtain MY medical files illegally without consent or a warrant of any kind. So i decide to file a complaint with the workers supervisor for invading my doctor/patient confidentiality well the supervisor agrees that the worker was wrong and says she will give me a written apology, i was satisfied with that.(that was 2 weeks ago) then yesterday she(the worker) says she has to come back out cause there were "new" allegations i am a drug user... WTF??? I have never touched a drug in my life.
I tell her i will go for hair folicle, blood and urine testing to prove it.
Do you think that perhaps this worker invented this lie because she was angry i filed a complaint against her? She had openly obtained and spoken to my doctors just 2 weeks ago and if there were concerns of drug abuse she would have known about it.

i'm not worried about any test i might take as i am not a drug user and never have been, i don't even drink. I'm just curious with all the bogus complaints they must get a day, they need to use reasonable judgement before exploring and investigating each and every complaint.
It just seems suspicious that 2 weeks ago she was fine, no complaints until i file a formal complaint with her supervisor and now i am a drug user?!?!?! I feel like this is her way of trying to justify accessing my medical records without consent.

what would you do in a situation like this, threaten with legal action?

This was a public health nurse who was supposed to be trying to help my son, she thought i was neglecting his hearing needs because he was on a waiting list for speech therapy and she thought we weren't doing enough at home for his speech. I don't associate myself with drug users because i have a zero tolerance for drugs. I don't have any enemies that i know of. The case was closed but then i filed a complaint because she accessed my medical records illegally and of course after i talk to her supervisor this pops up.

I should also add that some of the CAS workers will say anything to make you look bad especially if they want to discredit a complaint that has been made against them.

Well, you have established a motive for retaliation for that CAS worker, so, yes...I'd threaten legal action. If not for harassment on their part, then for libel or slander on the part of the party that made the allegations. By them acting on it, I believe they're just as guilty. I'd personally stick to suing them, that way, if they want, they can sue the other party for fraud.

And, seriously, since this isn't your 1st run-in with CAS, don't back down. Trying to prove an expectant mother....of being an unfit mother, is stress that noone needs. Causing undue stress to a pregnant woman should be a crime in itself.
Good luck.

I would contact a lawyer.....There is someone that is not liking you and reporting you saying you do drugs or whatever. Do you have enemy's?

They have to follow up on complaints that they recieve but the investigation into something is suppose to last 30 days and if nothing can be proved then the case is closed.
She could have made that up but then again why would she want to make you mad anymore and then file another complaint. Are you saying that a nurse you see at the doctor called in on you? Did anything at all show up on your tests? Just being around someone smoking pot can get into your system -i know people that have tested positive for THC and they don't even smoke it but cause they were around it -it was in their system.

I would sue the hospital/doctor's office over my medical records if i were you

Normally, I'm not big on running to a lawyer, but in this case, you are being seriously harrasssed.

I'd get an attorney, but I'd still do the drug tests. You're in the right here.

I would ask for a meeting with this person and their supervisor to try to reconcile this situation and see if this person has some hidden agenda. If you get no satisfaction this way, ask a lawyer friend, if you have a lawyer friend what your options are.

Contact the department head. This sounds really fishy. I'd send a letter. Keep documentation of everything that they're doing to you. I think you're being harassed.

Sometimes certain foods we eat will result a positive drug outcome. I would hire an attorney and allow him/her on how to advise me correctly.

You might have a very lucrative lawsuit on your hands...
