It's somewhat strange that people say it is wrong to follow or have faith in a religion, but that it is right to follow Jesus Christ because he is "God." That is contradictory, as Jesus Christ is an exclusive character and symbol in Christianity. That is still subscribing to religious beliefs, as Jesus Christ is still only found, to this day, in the Bible--a religious text.
I, however, believe that you should put your faith where it is best kept. Tolerance is very important when selecting where your faith belongs. It is not wrong to follow anything or anyone, but it doesn't make you right either. What should probably matter is what is true to you, and at the same time understanding everyone else's beliefs.

Critics often ask why Christianity is any better than any other religion in the world. After all, of all the religions that exist how can it be that only Christianity is true? If God exists, why can't God use different religions? Don't all paths lead to God? These kinds of questions are asked all the time of Christians and unfortunately the answers aren't always very good ones particularly when dealing with people who have a relativistic truth base and don't believe in absolutes.
Therefore, in an attempt to demonstrate why Christianity is true and all other religious systems are false, I've prepared the following list of reasons for Christianity's superiority.
There are such things as absolute truths
If truth is relative, then the statement that truth is relative is an absolute truth and would be self defeating statement by proving that truth is not relative. But, if truth is absolute, then the statement "truth is absolute" is true and not self defeating. It is true that truth exists. It is true that truth will not contradict itself as we have just seen. In fact, it is absolutely true that you are reading this paper.
If we can see that there is such a thing as truth in the world, then we could also see that there can be spiritual truth as well. It is not absurd to believe in spiritual absolutes anymore than physical or logical absolutes. Even the statement that all religions lead to God is a statement held to be a spiritual absolute by many people. This simply demonstrates that people do believe in spiritual truth. Why? Because truth exists. However, not all that is believed to be true actually is true. Therefore, all belief systems cannot be true since they often contradict each other in profound ways.

i'm a guy or woman of religion yet of reason additionally. My faith is my reason. The act of being non secular to me is making an attempt to acquire the utmost point of non secular enlightenment which you would be able to. this might advise being waiting to strengthen into certainly humble and to have no desires. i'm looking a thank you to merge my Christian ideals in with Buddhist concepts. I see Buddhism as extra of a philosophy, than a faith. consequently, i think of that by ability of making use of the techniques that I learn from this philosophy, i visit be waiting to realize my finished point of non secular purity. i think of that there is room for compromise. yet, what could be completed to locate it, i do no longer comprehend. If people purely respected others ideals then there would not be plenty animosity between the two between the thought systems. Atheists can say some exceptionally snide feedback and Christians besides. the two are answerable for wounding the different. the two could desire to nicely known this, and supply up.

Yes, you should have faith in God regardless of the religion that proposes to represent Him.
Spiritual matters should not be treated lightly. It is necessary, and possible, for us to know the truth. We don't need to take anyone else's word for it.

Our Faith should be in God, not in some religion.
God gave us his son Jesus that we might believe in him, for Eternal soul Salvation. It is very good to be religious.
Attending the church of our choice, but the main thing is having a personal experience with Jesus.
We should read the Bible to be sure that our Church is compliant to God's word.

The race of man was divided, 'and they spoke with many tongues unknown to one another'. [I am lazy, and rarely quote] they were sent to procreate to the far corners of the world. And it came to be. From that point began the journey for reunification and unity as one. God or Satan..? Religions are our teachers, guides, instruction manuals to light and show th eway to God. Th eHoly Spirit is the end goal.

The problem is that someone will kill someone else because that guy drops to his right knee instead of his left knee when bowing for prayer because that's not the way it's supposed to be... or some other such crap.
Religion divides, it doesn't unite.

you are right that many people equate "religion" with "God" and that is far from the truth...
But Jesus Christ is God, He is the truth of God, He is the way of God.
So a true Christian - a follower of the Christ -is a follower and lover of God.
god bless
