it is said by those who want us to believe that if you follow their rules and do what they say, you will get eternal happiness.
now think about that.
what would make you be that happy, what would make you stay that happy. what is there after that. do you even have a purpose anymore, will there be anything to do, or that you would want to do? if your happy all the time what is there to look forward to?
so is it not madness?

No, it is Spartaaa!!!
(sorry had to do it)

It really makes no sense does it, to think that one can achieve happiness in an afterlife when each one of us has a different way for eternal happiness.

Hello! I understand what you are coming from, yep I do. I use to wander about that some years back and it even brought tears to my eyes many years ago. Remember that part in the Bible saying that He shall wipe away every tear in their eyes? Rev. 21:4 I think and really in my heart I know that God is going to erase every memory of pain and suffering from our minds. There will be nothing but peace, joy , and love in Heaven. No tears, dear! I dunno how God is going to handle those cases where ppl were not given the chance to believe in Christ, but remember HE is a JUST God. He cannot lie or do any evil! Think about the most just human judge and multiply that by a gazillion and that still doesnt come close to the Just Being of God. Keep praying for unsaved family and people around the world. Do you know that God hears the prayers of His Righteous in Christ Jesus....and that is an unselfish prayer so yeah it is getting through into the unseen realm. Talk to our Heavenly Father and just thank Him for Being so Just. I must do this myself tonight! Take care

I just it could be said that happiness is whats left when all sadness is taken away. So happiness doesn't have to be implanted, only sadness removed.
just a thought.
So then the scale is redefined with only happy so you end up with extremes of happy and the lower end would then become sadness and the whole argument becomes circular and maddening. (complete thoughts begin to run to together)
Maybe happiness is when there are no more circular arguments.

True happiness can only be found when you are fulfilling the purpose for which you were created. Man was created to have fellowship with God. Once you have restored your relationship to God through acceptance of His Son Jesus, then you have true happiness that will continue throughout eternity. Without that restoration, then you can not have fellowship with God and you are correct that there is only madness left for you.

Hope that helps.

It is difficult for the limited finite mortal to comprehend the unlimited infinite immortality that awaits us on the other side. Because we will no longer be bound by physical limitations such as time and space, I don't think our understanding of say "boredom" for example will be the same as it is today - in these bodies, on this side of eternity.

At any rate - it is the alternative that is truly madness!

I guess what makes me happy is making others happy....That is my JOY !

There are times when I want things my way and when I get that filling I do it. You must recharge your soul to be giving. a bit of R & R

I do not want you to believe, God does.
They are not my rules, they are Gods rules.
Maybe you should study His bible and pray.
God is reality.

"Eternal" life would become boring.

I wouldn't even want it.
