Do we realize the true depth of His Forgiveness?
When all the should have, would have, and could haves have bombarded our lives and we are looking down the short end of the tunnel facing the guilt, and consequences of our bad decisions and the booze, women, working long hours doesn't seem to lift us up for even a short period of time anymore.
Where do we turn for relief? sooner or later we are faced with a decision. Is life worth it? Am I goingto be alone? or which ever your results are facing you..
we need to realize the Power of Gods' forgiveness. It is not just a "Ok, I forgive you" But it includes lifting your burden off your shoulders, so that when your faced with something you are able to lift your head up high and know that EVEN THIS shall Pass. It is a forgiveness that says,
Come unto me all you that are weighted down and burdened, and I will give you rest. Even rest Unto your souls.
Sounds like something we need?
sorry for the length

Imbedded in the relationship of Law and Gospel are the concepts of justice, mercy, and grace. One of the best ways you can show the difference between them is to use illustrations that show their differences and relationships. For example, Justice is getting what we deserve. Mercy is not getting what we deserve. Grace is getting what we don't deserve.
Let's suppose you have a bicycle and I want it. So, one night I sneak over to your house and steal it. You catch me and I go to jail. (Jail would be where I "pay" for my crime of breaking the law.) The penalty is met and that is justice. I get what I deserve.
Let's change it a little. I sneak over to your house and steal your bike. You catch me. But you don't send me to jail. Instead, you tell me to forget about it. The penalty, jail, is not met. That is mercy. I did not get what I deserved.
One more change. I sneak over to your house and steal your bike. You catch me. You don't send me to jail. In fact, you give me the bike plus a hundred dollars. That is grace. The penalty is met (by you paying the 'damages') and I was given what I did not deserve (the bike and money).
Justice, which demands payment, does not meet the requirement of mercy, which seeks forgiveness. Mercy does not meet the requirement of justice. Grace meets both.

the version is in degree. God has given us the capacity to forgive because of the fact we are created in His image. although, each and every time a human clearly asks God for forgiveness, He forgives completely and completely. The Bible says that He drops our sins "contained in the sea of forgetfulness and remembers them not greater" and that our sin is removed from us "as some distance because of the fact the east is from the west." it is not in a circle like the globe, it quite is in an limitless line!! human beings attempt to forgive that way, yet in lots of situations we can't forget approximately, and the harm that guy or woman has achieved continues to be with us so we no longer have confidence them. at times it is efficient yet God continuously forgives and forgets.

Friend your letter is not too long, I agree with you aabout what you say, We have the rest in Jesus Christ, That is where many advantise, or Sabbath keeping people can not understand, The law was done away in Romans 10:4 where Jesus is the end of the law. Now when we receive the Holy Ghost, then we have enter into his rest.

I'm not particularly religious but sometimes it does hit me how meaningful it is for someone to truly forgive you, or truly apologise. I think at present, people use those words too often without really meaning it, so to have someone actually forgive you, and not hold a grudge must be very liberating.

The truth is that God foreknew all the sins we would commit. Out of his great mercy and love for us, he provided the way for us to be rescued and forgiven through faith in Jesus Christ. Jesus paid the death penalty for ALL of our sins, great and small.

So many times over and over and over in the Holy Bible God promises that He will forgive us of our sins all we have to do is believe. God's grace allows us to be free of those sins.

If god is all around us, flows through each of us and we are all connected to one another, then if we forgive ourselves first, should we then receive forgiveness from others around us, like a continuous flow of energy, or something like that. i might be a little out of my depth here.

Not really a question but more of a comment on His forgiveness.

Have you fully considered that we are to forgive as He has forgiven us? How deep is your forgiveness?

Something to think about, huh?

Hope that helps.

Do you have a question here? If it's "Sounds like something we need?" my answer is "no". It sounds like something U NEED. Many of us accept our choices and feel accountable for our actions without looking for a god/hero to save us.
