what do you think of the urban renewal scheme to redo the whole street? I think the government is wasting their money. Sai yeung choi street is good the way it is, people like it because it is uniqe and all the little shops clustered together make for an interesting place for shopping. Also, the smaller shops can give better prices for most customers.
If they make it into a mall, the street will lose it's character and appeal, it will be no different from all the other malls around the world.

I agree with you! Although I seldom go to Mongkok, I do think it is a unique area.

They are changing Sai Yeung Choi St?!?! That is one of my favourite street!! Please don't change it!
