What rhetoric are you talking about?
Unique is right there is no such thing as All..
Now that you made yourself more clear. This is not a rehtoric this is the truth Islam is what all other religions are about, which is peace.
If you ask someone where the fish lives, he will give you everytime the same answer. You see?
I'm glad that many who answered your question realize the fact that one can not say All and that people should be judged individually.
Not only religions do that, it's a human nature. I also agree with Saro0nah the media plays a big role in messing things up.

I'm not sure what you mean, but I think I know what you mean. Keep in mind, this does not regard ALL Muslims. ALL is almost never a possible case, unless you are referring to all religious conservatives. Anyways, I've interpreted the answer this way: Perhaps it is because they have already regarded something as absolute truth, programming them to profess it.

Thats all religion has, rhetoric. Shout it loud enough and long enough and they'll believe you. Failing that, strap on a bomb.

I think it was Hermann Goering that said That a lie, repeated enough, becomes the truth.
No one is falling for their deceptions, not when what we all can plainly see contradicts their words.

You mean that Islam is a religion of peace. Well you can't complain - it's partly true. The other part they forget to say is '... and violence.'
