Does God want anything?

Better yet, what did God want us to know?

The bible is only source about God. It is the word of God as spoken through the prophets. It is where God talks to us.

Answer: The bible is more than stories especially with the knowledge of good and evil. It is a religious book for believers, not a history or science book. It is there for all to read.

The apostle Paul commended Timothy for his knowledge of the scripture and for having learned them since 'infancy". 2 Tim. 3:14-17. We cannot be equipped for every good work without a thorough understanding of the word of God. We need to 'rightly divide' God's word and how could we do that without not only reading, but diligently studying and meditating on it? God' s word is alive. See Heb.4:12-13 We will be held accountable for our knowledge of His word or the lack thereof. God Bless

You are absolutely right.... and you hit the GREAT MYSTERY.

The "Word of God" Jesus was speaking about in the Parable of the Sower could not have been the Bible, because the New Testament did not even exist at that time. AND it is unlikely that he was "sowing" those temple scrolls out to everybody. (there were no books back then)

So what was the word of God Jesus was speaking about??? This resource explains what was really going on back then with this "Word of God."

"All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness." II Timothy 3:16

So yes God wants us to read the Bible.

If Adam and Eve had not eaten the fruit the Bible would not be necessary.

Psalm 1:
1 Happy is the man that has not walked in the counsel of the wicked ones,
And in the way of sinners has not stood,
And in the seat of ridiculers has not sat.

2 But his delight is in the law of Jehovah,
And in his law he reads in an undertone day and night.

3 And he will certainly become like a tree planted by streams of water,
That gives its own fruit in its season
And the foliage of which does not wither,
And everything he does will succeed.

yes, if you read bible, then you will know him better

Psa 119:9 How can a young man keep his way pure? By guarding it according to your word.
Psa 119:11 I have stored up your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you.
Psa 119:12 Blessed are you, O LORD; teach me your statutes!
Psa 119:13 With my lips I declare all the rules of your mouth.
Psa 119:14 In the way of your testimonies I delight as much as in all riches.
Psa 119:15 I will meditate on your precepts and fix my eyes on your ways.
Psa 119:16 I will delight in your statutes; I will not forget your word.
Psa 119:17 Deal bountifully with your servant, that I may live and keep your word.
Psa 119:18 Open my eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of your law.

May God bless you...

of course..and yes, you are going to have the nonsense that He didnt write the bible, men did...that argument is so lame.

the main theme of the Bible, is forgivness of your sins, by the Lord, and His resurrection, and His saving grace!

Which is why Easter is so important.
These are not fables...the bible has been backed up to many times by science, and archeo.
Yes, yes yes yes, read the bible, you will see how relevant it is to your soul..and yes, go a head google it, you will be amazed how many characters are actually real!

Most that debate the bible have yet to read it..turn it around and I love doing this, when I approach those types, I ask them specifically what they dont understand, or what they are reffuting, and they get crushed under the pressure.
they saying goes, satan knows the bible, very much so, he is in it..which is why he is going out of his way to keep many from reading it.
When anyone is doubting the validity of the bible, you might ask yourself why would satan be trying to keep me away from it, unless it is true..you can out think the enemy.
The love letter God wrote to you, is so so so beautiful.
You dont have to text message God, he simply wants to talk to you, and give you his thoughts in his word.
Ever hear of being inspired, well read the nt, Timothy, and others on why the bible is the very word of God.
Always check your references!!!!!

The Koran is wrong. Also god does want people to read his word because it says that it is sharper than any two edged sword (Heb. 4:12.) How will you know god if you don't read his word.

The answer is in the fact that you were given a brain, not a bible, at birth.
