i hvn't been able to find any mention of a jerry premo.. i think all soldiers deserve a mention.

Yes. They are announced in a DOD press release once the next of kin has been officially notified. The first link below is for that source. All casualties are announced in that fashion, whether occurring in Operation Iraqi Freedom or Operation Enduring Freedom, and whether or not they are combat-related. However, the names of the wounded are not released because that would violate the Health Information Privacy Act (HIPA), a Federal law.
The second link is for deaths that is searchable by month and year, but only for Operation Iraqi Freedom.
