You can't put everyone into a group, so I will state it as "some". Some Christians are hypocrites because they do not follow what they "preach" if you will, and some also do not abide by the word of God such as do not judge.
Some atheists are hypocrites because they state that our faith is stupid and how could we accept anything based on faith, while some that believe in evolution are also exhibiting faith by trusting in evolution when there are numerous flaws, and numerous things that go unexplained. Either way, their are hypocrites on both sides. There are hypocrites on neither side. You can't say that all of them are one or the other.

The true answer is there is no comparison of this nature. A hypocrite is someone who says one thing but does another, for example, someone who says it's wrong to use bad language, but uses foul language himself. That's a hypocrite.
A religious person who adheres to his beliefs is not a hypocrite. An atheist likewise. Either can be a hypocrite, too, if they don't 'practise what they preach'.

A hypocrite is someone who behaves contrary to their belief system.
For an atheist to be hypocritical they would have to be secretly worshipping a God and for a 'God Believer' as you say, to be hypocritical, they would have to behave as though they don't believe in God.
Did you mean something else?

I think both. Both sides need to be opened minded that not everyone can believe in what each other's religious or non religious beliefes are. If you are not open minded to others's beliefs then you are hypocritical. God bless.

All people are hypocrites at some point. Nothing new under the sun.
It's when you've chosen to live a public life and commit a hypocrisy that the spotlight shines (Ted Haggard, Al Sharpton, etc).

As a Christian, it's OK if you call me a hypocrite. The bottom line is that I'd rather go to Heaven with a bunch of hypocrites than to Hell with a bunch of demons!

Generally when a person has a belief they will look for reasons to support their belief, to justify it to others for it to have validity. When the belief becomes more extreme the justification has to be stretched, they search for more reasons and are willing to consider even contray reasons if they can be twisted to delude themselves and others, regardless of where they fall on the scale of Atheist or believer.

Everyone is different so you cant categorize one group more hypocritical than the other, but I generally see Atheist beliefs themselves more hypocritical than Theist beliefs.

"A foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds. A great person does not have to think consistently from one day to the next."
This remark comes from the essay “Self-Reliance” by Ralph Waldo Emerson.

God believers (of any of the Big Three). They have a long history of preaching one thing and then doing another...especially that "judge not lest ye be judged" stuff. Or "Thou shalt not kill" followed by a 2000 year history of killings.
Never mind the blatant dishonesty of some of their most virulent members...Creationists for example.
