Yes, within reason.
a) if it seems like a conversation I should not know, I walk away,
b) if they didnt want the world to hear it they would not speak it in public.
c) it gives the listener a better understanding of how we all live and exist on this rock.

Usually only if they're talking really loudly. i mean, If I wanna hear about your breakfast then I'll come and listen to you but if you're talking or rather shouting than what choice do I have. And plus I don't want to be the monkey that goes up there to tell 'em to shut the hell up.

Only if they sound interesting (and only if delivered at a volume that suggests that the talker wants people to listen or doesn't care). If a person is talking loud and saying stupid stuff, then I put on my iPod to drown them out.

No, I don't listen and I do my best to avoid even overhearing them. I hate having to overhear some stupid conversation between people I don't know at all, but sometimes it's hard to avoid it.

Sometimes, especially if I have to stand in a line. It's really amazing what some people talk about and it passes the time for me.

I try to but being half deaf makes it almost impossible! Scarlet Fever took away my hearing many years ago, but I can lip read as long as I can see their lips moving. I listen to them with great interest.

Yes if i am on my own. I also find it very difficult not in chip in my opinion....if i do i end up being given a filthy look and i feel a total pratt!

lol not often, but sometimes there's always that loud girl who screams, "omg, she slept with who?!" and it's interesting to eavesdrop.
