In terms of playing golf, shopping and off to the theme parks. We were planning (my family and I) to visit Gold Coast, Australia from the 2nd to the 7th of February. Is that a good time?

Well, I did some research and it says that school will be back in February. So... I think it's appropriate to take a holiday in terms of lack of crowds etc.

The GC will still be crowded in early February with schoolchildren who have not yet returned to school and Uni students who still have a month to go.

Any time is a good time to go to the Gold Coast.
As far as the school holidays are concerned, Queensland schools go back in the last week of January, after the Australia Day weekend.
It won't be too crowded at the Gold Coast when you are there.
Try to go to the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary, it's a wonderful day out. Especially if you're there for the wild Lorikeet Feeding at either 8am or 4pm.

That would be a great time of year to go... I always go around March because its alittle coolier but Gold Coast is always good when the hoildays are over...

Easter is in March in 2008. School hols are usually attached to the Easter break but will be seperated in 08.Come in April.

March will be a much better time to go, depending on whether you can stretch it out a little. Reason being both heat, school kids and peak season prices.
It is a good place to visit and we found some good hotel deals. You might want to check out a site www.roomfetcher.com may find it useful

Yes it is but check on the OFF season prices, I think you are ok though. Kids are back at school 29th Jan. Be prepared for the hot weather though. I am sure you will love it. Where are you coming from?

Go when school is on! The theme parks are mega busy otherwise....and it would be wiser to go in March or April, February is going to be really hot.
Just make sure you take sunscreen
