1 Samuel, chapter 15, verse 3: "Go now and put Amalek to the sword, putting to the curse all they have, without mercy: put to death every man and woman, every child and baby at the breast, every ox and sheep, camel and ***."

God orders the destruction of an entire city, including children and even breastfeeding babies.

Hosea, chapter 13, verse 16 (chapter 14, verse 1 in some translations): "Samaria will be made waste, for she has gone against her God: they will be cut down by the sword, their little children will be broken on the rocks, their women who are with child will be cut open."

Numbers, chapter 31, verses 17-18: "So now put every male child to death, and every woman who has had sex relations with a man. But all the female children who have had no sex relations with men, you may keep for yourselves."

Isiah chapter 13, verse 16: "Their young children will be broken up before their eyes; their goods will be taken away, and their wives made the property of others."

You quoted chapter and verse from the "holy book" itself. What the Bible says is "truth." Just ask any devout or fundamentalist Christian. But they'll find a way to say things like "you shouldn't take it literally," or "that's not the correct way of interpreting it" or some such hemming and hawing ("God" forbid they should ask you to attend a Bible study group to unshackle you of your ignorance!). **

**Read Wise Old Man's response, for example. He goes into deep denial about the genocidal, murderous god he believes in. I rest my case!**

The Bible, and specially the Old Testament, is a very weird book.

I don't think that your really interested in knowing the answer , but for those people that come along here, I will answer this -- for them.

The Bible does record in the Old testament occasions when groups of peoples were put to death.
This likely would have included their armies , and those in their cities ,including their woman and children.

Does this fact alone indicate a murderous attitude on behalf of the true God - Jehovah. ?
Not at all..

These wars against certain tribes or cities was not like the wars that we see today.
It was not an attempt to grab their wealth or to put them into service as slaves , which was often the case in those days.
It was NOT a power struggle.

This sort of war we see today , but it was not the case in times when God devoted a group of people to destruction.

Rather , their destruction was brought about by their own actions.
They followed Satanic and other unclean pagan Gods and so Jehovah , the true God , judged them as being unfit to live any longer.

The actions of this warfare was not about power , but was about cleaning away those that reject true worship., often with disgusting Satanic riturals such as burning children alive as sacrifices to Baal.

So was these wars against the unGodly unjust or unfair , should God just let everyone live and do as they please ?

NO. ! - Never

These wars show that God IS interested and DOES act in removing wickedness from the Earth.

Likewise , in the near future , this TRUE God will act again , and remove wicked people from the ENTIRE Earth - this time forever.
This will be done via Gods own son Jesus at 'Armageddon'.

The advice then is , Stop complaining about what you think are injustices found in the Bible and see them for what they really are....'WARNINGS' of what happens to people that refuse to follow the correct path of life as set out in the Bible.

Yes. According to the Bible, Jesus-God drowned, tortured, and slaughtered millions, conspired to have his own self-kid beaten and executed, and repeatedly commanded his followers to kidnap, rape, hurt, and kill thousands of other people.

Bloodshed - violence and killing, etc etc was perfectly normal in the times of the Bible - and God was no exception.
