Hi, I was sick on wednesday night and yesterday until about lunch time. Today my stomach feels really weak, yet im starving. What could I eat/drink that isn't going to make me throw up everywhere?

Bit belated but in case you are icky again....drink lemonade that is flat. If you don't have any flat lemonade make it flat yourself by shaking the bottle and opening it to let the fizz out, repeat until all the fizz has gone. Sip it regularly and it will settle you tummy in no time. We were advised to do this from the NHS Helpline and we always do this when someone is ill.
As for eating when you've got a weak stomach after being icky, lots of folk have said to avoid dairy products but we've always had scrambled egg at these times. It is light and you could have a slice of very lightly buttered toast with it. As long as you aren't dehydrated you should be ok. Fluids are more important than solids for the first couple of days after and then build up with the solids by eating what you fancy in small quantities until you've got your appetite back properly again.

poor you. I always start my kids off with some toast and cheese spread, if you keep that down, 1 slice then another about an hour later.Tea biscuits are also good only 1 to start with. If you keep that down 2 or 3 hours later try a little scrambled egg on toast only made with milk. Then go onto grilled chicken or oven baked with a waffle, then hopefully you will feel a lot better but keepit light for a few days. Hope you feel better soon.

I found the book to be very informative and easy to read.

I've lost 17 pounds in 12 days, I'm just concerned that I'm losing too much weight, too quickly. I will admit I haven't followed the guide exactly. I'm not sticking perfectly to the listed foods and meal plans (but mostly) and doing very little exercise, but the weight keeps flying off.

It clearly works and if I'd followed it exactly I think it would scare the living daylights out of me because of the amount that I'd lose. So thanks again for the information. I've never purchased anything like this before because they are usually full of trash, but 3WD has been a pleasant surprise.

When you feel hungry only eat Plain Toast. After a while, perhaps eat toast and butter if you managed to keep the first lot down

Bland food is best :O) Like toast, crackers, avoid dairy products though and drink lots of water or juice.
My nephew had a tummy bug recently too and poor thing couldnt even have his baby milk! He had to have water.

Try bananas, jello, chicken noddle soup, saltine crackers. For me grapes work too. Sometimes Gastroparesis is the cause for a weak stomach. This condition is very common (gas-tro-par-EES-is) Following stomach illness a soft diet is a good idea. The soft diet serves as a transition from liquids to a regular diet for individuals who are recovering from an illness. I hope you feel better.

I don't know if this will combat your nausea, but they say for the runs to stick to the BRATY diet meaning bananas, rice, applesauce, toast and plain yogurt. Good Luck and feel better! The holidays are no time to be sick.

Plain white toast is the only thing your gunna be able to manage for sustenance. Try drinking lemonade, plenty of sugar and it wont react badly.

Hope you feel better soon.

I'm partial to toast with a tiny bit of butter or digestive biscuits when I'm sick.
