No ibuprofen is NOT Tylenol. It is Motrin, another name for ibuprofen, which is an NSAID (non-steroidal antinflammatory drug); it reduces inflammation. Acetaminophen is another name for Tylenol. People need to get their drug facts straight. And ibuprofen should not be taken anytime when alcohol has been taken recently. I would wait at least 24 hours before taking any type of medicine after drinking alcohol. Drink lots of water to replenish your fluids as alcohol is a diuretic and it dehydrates you.

You should be fine, although like Poppy said you may find yourself experiencing tipsiness a little sooner than expected. Maybe have a bite to eat before you go out, or grab a greasy burger after a couple of pints, just to keep yourself going. Also, having a drink of milk to line the stomach beforehand might help with the possible hangover tomorrow. I know you've said you're not planning on drinking hard, but being a student I know I've gone back on that promise quite a few times!

You will be fine, but it's not good to combine ibuprofen with alcohol on a regular basis.

I litterally just did this in the morning. I've been sick for the past week with a virus, so I take Ibrofeun to help with the inflammation in my throat. Well I only had a beer and a shot last night. When I got home I fell asleep and woke up around 5am because my throat was so swollen . So I took an 800mg. Not thinking anything. Just woke up at 11am. I feel sick to my stomach. Really bad diareaha, and threw up twice with a burning feeling in my stomach. DONT DO IT. IT WILL UPSET YOUR STOMACH.

It is not safe to take IBUPROFEN after taking alcoholic drinks. If you drink more than three alcoholic beverages a day, ask your doctor whether you should take ibuprofen and pseudoephedrine. This medication may cause STOMACH BLEEDING, and alcohol may increase the occurrence of stomach bleeding.
Head ache caused after taking alcoholic drinks is the HANG OVER and no medication for head ache will work in that condition. When once the alcoholic effect reduces the head ache also will vanish.

It depends on how easy it is to irritate your stomach. Your stomach will hate you for this. For some people, alcohol irritates their stomach for like 3 days after drinking. The risk is it can cause bleeding.
6 drinks is too much. If it's asking to jump out of your stomach - let it do so, you will feel better. Help it a little by pressing on root of your tongue with 2 fingers. You already got all the fun out of those 6 drinks, no need to poison yourself with the consequinces.
