Some people might find it odd, but I really think this is the qualifying factor of whether or not I'm interested in a particular woman or not, and if she's physically attractive then that's just more points added.
Call me weird, but I find a high level of athletic capacity a very attractive quality...and Saucony, Brooks, and Asics scream that to me :)

It would definitely cause me to notice them. I am a runner, and value physical fitness highly in my life. I hope that my partner would too. So if someone is wearing a shoe that screams, "they are a serious athlete, and are serious about taking care of themselves," then I would definitely be attracted to them. It is normal to judge someone unconsciously in the first few seconds of seeing them. So if fitness appeals to you, seeing someone wearing Saucony's brooks' and asics' that look like they have actually been used, will set off a natural attraction on a subconscious level.
Overall, yes in your case and mine, we will tend to be attracted to these people without initially realizing it, and in your case, possibly aroused, another subconscious, uncontrollable thought and physical process.

f you are really int rested in this, I recommend reading a recent book, "Blink" by Malcolm Gladwell. It deals with how we make quick unconscious judgments and how that unknowingly affects the actions in our lives. In my opinion it is a very interesting and thought provoking book.
