No one really knows. People can give reasons why they think they hate a particular ethnic or racial group, but they don't really know. Those reasons tend to be buried in history.
The Jews have a pretty unique position in Western Civilization. I think we have some special purpose. Actually, I think all peoples have their own unique, special purposes.
Probably we won't fully know what those purposes are until the end of history, when we can see the big picture of what history has been all about. Then we will know why particular groups have been hated and loved.
By "history", I mean this process that has been going on in humanity for the last 10,000 years or so, after man "fell" out of unity with Nature.
