I had a Jones yesterday for seafood so I prepared some pan-seared scallops in a champagne vinagrette sauce and they were delicious. I also get a yen for lobster, King Crab legs, shrimp, and almond-crusted Dover Sole. I can do without calamari and lots of other crazy, slimey, funky things to eat from the sea so I'm with you most of the way, but not over the top. Still just a land-lubber and warm-blooded mammalian-type creature.

Dear karl m...sorry for accidentally hit your question.
When I first married my wife (10 yrs ago), she didn't know much cooking. I created common interest, hobby... we learned , cooked together, varieties of fish, steak, poultries, shellfish, Chinese, western, Indian cuisines...just name it!
Our favorite seafood restaurant was at east coast of Sipadan Island. They'll fresh & cheap!
I still recalled that day standing in between the meat isle and the vegetable section. I remember thinking I could buy two boneless chicken breasts and perhaps a steak or two, or I could use the money for a whole basket of vegetables and fruits. That day, I decided to try becoming vegetarian for a week. One week grew into two, two weeks into two months. Today... me, my wife and 2 kids are vegan.
Today we are vegan (pronounced "we-gun"). I never thought I would became a vegetarian, obviously a vegan. It was kinda intuition, but almost no one will argue that animal cruelty should be viewed through the same lens as human cruelty, but cruelty is cruelty, whether being cruel to humans or animals.
One of my favorite pastimes was to cook vegetarian food for guests. I consider the meal a success if guests say that they do not miss animal products, or sometimes can not even tell if the food I prepared was even made with animal products!
I never bothered the price of meat / Poultry, Turkey or Beef now. I'm seldom cook nowadays. Yet TODAY, I WOULD SAY MY WIFE IS THE GREATEST COOK OF ALL !!!

NOT Sushi. Not raw oysters or steamers. Not slimy snotty stuff, but...
FISH!!!! I love all kinds of fish. And shrimp, mussels, clams! Yummy. I love catfish. It's probably my favorite, then tilapia.
Did you know that tilapia is thought to be the fish in the basket in the Sermon on the Mount? Even if it isn't, that's kind of cool.
