My toe nail broke deep in the middle where the flesh is. I ask my nail technician what to do and she told me to put glue on it and not to cut it so as to prevent infection and also to give it time to grow up. I am uncomfortable with this. What should I do cut or glue?

don't bother it you may create infection messing with it just keep it clean and let it grow then after it grows out then trim it down .

If you feel that the broken part will get caught on things and rip the nail worse and deeper, glue it so it won't get caught on stuff. The glue will just fall off eventually. If it's not going to get caught on stuff, you can just leave it alone and it'll grow out by itself. (You might also put a bandaid loosely around your toe just to protect it a bit.)

Just leave it alone unless it gets red and puffy. Clean it good and maybe bandage it if wearing socks. If you glue it, you could trap infection in the nail bed and create worse problems. If it starts to look reddish and swells, see your DR>
