I'm 15 (16 in Jan) and I plan on getting breast implants. I don't want bigger breasts (I'm a C) but my breasts are heavy and I lost weight after I stopped taking steroids for asthma so there's extra skin and they sag. I've asked my doctor and she says that the only options I have is breast reduction, breast lift or breast implants because she agrees that there is nothing else I can do. Since breast reduction and lifts don't produce very pretty results at all and the scarring is horrible, I'm going to get breast implants (I'm not thrilled about having something foreign in my body but I'm way too young to have breasts like this. There are women over 40 who have better ones than I do). I'd probably go to a D or DD (I'm tall so I won't look like Pam Anderson). Also one of my breasts is bigger than the other so it causes me to slump to the side. One woman said they got medicaid to pay for their breast augmentation? Can that be done? Also have you or anyone you know got implants? Please post

Terri, I know sagging is a natural part and I accept that. I'd have to go at least up one or two cup size to fill out the skin. My breasts are heavy but I don't have back pain. My frame is strong enough to carry the weight of the implants. I've seen breast reduction scars at both recent and years later. Not only does a breast reduction giver ugly scars, even the best Californian surgeon can't make a breast reduction pretty. The breasts look out and out gross. I've seen literally hundreds of pictures of every type of breast surgery out there. Nothing gives better results than implants. I don't have any growing left to do. I was on predisone which caused stunted growth on me. My body's been virtually the same since I was in elementary school. Unless I start hormone therapy, I won't grow anymore. I plan on getting the implants when I'm 17. If I thought any other surgery would help, I'd get it.

Implants won't reduce sagging. Sagging is a natural part of gravity and even with implants you will sag.

Why do you want to go to a D or DD? You are just asking for back pain, especially since you are complaining of having heavy breasts already.

Its your back though, so good luck.

And actually, breast reduction scars are hardly noticeable. Mine are almost nonexistent. I'd rather take scars than back pain anyday though. You must not have seen a lot of pictures, or have seen only post op pictures where they had surgery recently, as it can take up to a year for scars to fade.

And, you are also only 16 soon, you still have more growing left to do, IMO you should really wait till you are 20 before making the decision for implants.

A good plastic surgeon could help reduces the sagging without implants, It may mean having some reduction involved, but otherwise you dont want implants if you are already a DD. By the way I am a 52yo female who breastfed my children as babies (3 kids, one for 18 months another for two years) I have very little sagging. The secret? I have always invested in and worn underwires since I was a teenager. I mean bras that actually fit and support you. I never go without a bra. They help alot. I should know. I am also a DD. And no, I have never had implants or surgery of any kind. Bras won't help if you are already sagging, but can help prevent further sagging.
