I couldn't find a number but if the droppage in all around crime is any indication, the total is a LOT less than it used to be.

Just looking around at articles on Google, it seems as if the subway deaths that DO happen are more accidental in nature (construction workers, homeless people walking in tunnels) and suicides. But defintely WAY less when it comes to murders.

Definitely a far cry from the Bernhard Goetz' days!

I'm going off what i remember from watching the news everyday.
there were about 2 accidents from being pushed onto the tracks.
someone pushed the victims on the track right before the train got in front of them. This was 2 different cases.

about 3 workers have been run over by trains this year.

That is all i remember. I hope this helped.

if you are referring to suicides, then perhaps a dozen per year,..maybe less

as far as all deaths including homicides, natural, suicide, etc, i dont imagine it to be too much more considering NYC's crime rate has dropped significantly, especially on the subways

Considering that there are nearly 4 Million rides a day. any number is an infinitesimal crime rate.
