After losing 50lbs (extremely commendable by the way!), i would only expect you to be left with loose skin. Many people do just hide it under clothes, you'd be surprised.
I'd agree to continue with exercising, focusing mainly on abdominal routines. Pull-ups, twists, etc. can help.
Remember before using dumbbells to exercise and warm up by moving your arms around. And if you're not used to them, try something smaller and work your way up. The last thing you want is to put your back out!
You could also try using Palmers Cocoa Butter to help improve the elasticity of your skin (a popular cream for stretchmarks and often recommended on these forums).
Remember that the key thing in all of this is time. The only quick fix is surgery, which obviously isn't a route you'd like to take.
Hope this helps you :)

Your skin will snap back over time, give it time. In the meantime, start using the dumbbells to tone your skin. You can also do pushups, pullups, and lots of bodyweight exercise without triggering your asthma.
