My aunt and cousin are close, not just mom and lil girl close, but like best friends. They do to parties together, drink together, when my aunt and uncle fight, he is also fighting with his daughter, and when she fights with whoever she is with, her mom gets involved. My aunt attends raves with her and her friends, sleeps in her room with her, and lets her older male friends stay the night, even once telling one to sleep in her 16 year old daughters room, who woke up to a grown man on the floor next to her bed. My aunt flirts with her daughters friends, gives her the credit card, and then lies when her husband asks where the money went. She even lets her daughter have sex with guys in her and her husbands bed while he is at work, walking in and out while they are going at it. They seem proud f this behavior, and tell the whole family how close they are, and say me and my mother should bond more. My family acts like this is normal. Am I crazy, or is this just weird? 40's, the "bad" daughter is 18 and the younger girl is 16. The 18yr old refuses to work, or go to school, and her and her mother are drunk most of the time.

your Aunt is not being a mother and unfortunately that happens sometimes, I think one day your cousins will question her parenting and even though they may enjoy it now, later in life they will realize their mother was not a "Mother" at all and it will hurt them. I would stay away from them and be glad you have a mother that loves and protects you. and yes it is weird and wrong and disgusting to loving "mothers" everywhere.

It a bad road they are on. It might be fun now for them but when they get older they are not going to be able to fix their wracked life. It is a car wreck stay away from them they might drag you down with them. It might be family but your aunt is too old to change and your cousin is going to follow in her moms footsteps. Stay away and make the most of your life.

that sounds like a crappy mom. a mother isnt supposed to be ur friend she is suppossed to set moral giude lines to mold ur life and behavior u cant do that as a friend. u have to live ur life as the adult and the reasponsible one not going threw a middle age breakdown because u think ur getting old and she probably has issues with her body and if she feels sexy or not

Your aunt has severe mental problems, and i bet she drinks.
She hasn't grown up... be thankful your own mom has managed to grow.
