Yes - This panic reminds me of the panic that surrounded the Y2K bug. People were claiming all sorts of wild things would happen at the stroke of midnight, from toasters not working to planes falling from the sky.
Of course none of this happened, just like none of the claims of rising waters, floods and famine will happen either.
The Earth is cooling down now. In a couple of years global warming will be dropped from the headlines for the next doom and gloom, are we going to survive panic wave.

The sky is falling is a statement not a question. Most questions begin with a Who, What, Where, Why, or How and end with a Question mark. Or in Chicken Little's case she could have asked "Is the sky falling"?
