If you mean you bought the wrong rifle, the store will probably swap with you for a different rifle. Many stores have a no refund policy and will insist that you make an exchange rather than get a refund. You'll have to make the call to find out the policy of the store that sold you the rifle.
Good Luck,
Doc

Whether or not you can return an unused new firearm still in its box will depend on the policy of the store. Ask at the store to see what their policy is.

You can return it to the store you bought it from, but chances are you will not get 100% of your purchase price back. They will consider it a used gun/trade and go by the booklet (well, 8 pound novel) that they use for determining the worth of traded in firearms.

You will definately have to call the buisness that you purchased you .22 at. Chances are they will take it back, but they will probably want you to exchange it for something else.

Typically firearms are not returnable. You might try calling the place from which you bought it, but also read your receipt. Most places have the disclaimer that "all firearms sales are FINAL."

I know Walmart doesn't allow it. I bought some rifle shells, that we ended up not needing, and when I brought them back, they had a sign that said guns and ammunition is nonrefundable. So I would have to agree with the others, depends on the store. Call and ask.

Cut and dry, there is only one answer for this question: YOU NEED TO TAKE IT TO WHERE YOU BOUGHT IT!!
Not trying to be rude but no one on here really knows unless they are the ones who sold it to you. We have a 50/50 chance of being right, yes or no, but you won't find out until you try.

You made a BIG mistake, in buying a gun, when you didn't have a clue what you actually wanted or needed.you will , in life, find many mistakes, that can't be corrected.
in this case, what you may need to do, if you now, don't want the gun, is to find some that would be interested in it, then, SELL, SELL, SELL.
in the future, don't buy something, unless you are sure that it is what you want.

YES if I was the Manager of the Sporting Goods Store or Gun Shop I most certainly would take it back.* If they are reasonable & understanding & treat you the way they would want to be treated, than YES.* If they are the opposite of that, then NO.*
