I asked about that yesterday as Santa is based on a Greek man who gave to the poor and existed and God being a imaginary being! I got a lot of trouble from Christians that I am delusional and stupid and what not! Degradation seems to be OK and not judgmental enough to be against their Christian teaching!

I just saw a documentary the other night about the origins of Santa Clause. The character "Santa Clause," was developed by a Greek Orthodox Priest called Saint Nicholas, in the late 1800s, I believe that's what the documentary said.
It wasn't until the early 1900s that the caricature of Santa Clause was created.
As far as I know...no one has taken credit for creating God, and Christians believe that God has been in existence since the beginning of time and space. It's quite a core belief that there is an omnipotent being, and in no way (even metaphorically) comparable to Santa Clause - a man-made creation, with a historically known author/creator.

Simply because one is real and one isn't. Jesus died to take away the sins of all people. This is a primary gift given to us from God. If you feel that Santa gives you gifts...fine. But, salvation/Heaven is one gift Santa can't give you Santa had no part in creation. God did all parts in creation. It's not Santa we will stand in front of on the last day and give account for ourselves. It's God we will stand in front of. Read the Bible, read Christian literature, Christian radio, TV.and go to church and find out what to say and why you're saying it, when God asks you why He should let you into Heaven

They have their similarities and differences. For example, they both enjoy voyeurism, and know when we are sleeping or awake. They can even watch us in the shower. They both have the ability to determine who has been naughty or nice, and reward or punish accordingly. Also, they are both a fat old man with a white beard. Some differences are that Santa has a snazzier costume, and Santa spends all year pigging out on milk and cookies while God has no physical body so he can't enjoy sweets.

One year I asked Santa for a bike. I got a bike.
One year I asked Santa for a record (those giant black vinyl discs) of Michael Jackson narrating ET. I got that record.
One year I asked God to let me bring Cindy to the prom. I brought my friend's sister instead.
Santa has the proven track record. When I'm in need, I call St. Nick.

The main difference is that Santa brings gifts even if they are just rocks or coal, while God, on the other hand, supposedly gives eternal life in a nice place for gullible people or the worst of all places... Forever and ever for thinking people... but he supposedly loves you.

Because humans are essentially "Lying Animals", we can't stop doing it...
Whether it's April Fool's Day, Fairytales, Santa or God, we as Species, are obsessed with lying, and fabricating stories, for better or worse...
The first thing I ever remember my mother teaching me, is How to tell a "White Lie"...

I know Santa is real because he brings me presents and I see him at the mall every year. I even saw him holding a sign for a mattress store the other day. :)
Sorry, I'm not Christian, but I wanted to play, too. :)
