Because, Islam excepts the 5 books from the bible, and then of course Mohamud had his experience of enlightenment when Gabriel the Angel who was at Christ's birth, appeared to him. Now from what I read, Muslims say that Jesus is a great teacher or a great prophet. I ask how can you say that as Christ said, "You see me you see the Father". "I am the Messiah who was to come". "I am". more than once when on the earth, (which is recorder during his life by non religious historians at the time that Christ lived). So having said these things and dying on the cross for the sins of all the world, how can you say he was a good prophet? He would either have to be a LIAR, or a Lunatic...so please explain because I just don't get it. Thank you in advance.

majeed32: The New testament Bible was all written prior to 75AD. Yes, there can be mis-translations from one language to another for instance from Aramaic, Hebrew and Greek the word hell is not translated well which is why I use a Strong's Concordance to see what each word means in a scripture. There is no more evidence for the Koran than there is the Bible. The Old Testamnet Bible was written first and Muslims accept 5 books from it. The New Testament can be floowed all the way back to the last living apostle John who had a scribe write down what he saw as an I witness.
As for the scholars I don't know who you are talking a bout, but the ones I am referring to did not personally know Jesus or his followers...check it out. Also Jesus said "I am the truth, the way, and the light, no one gets to the father except through me" So again my point is, how can he be a good prophet and lie! He must be a liar or a lunatic or the real Messiah-Yes for the Jews who rejected and then gentiles.

By saying that all Chirstians say foul things about the Koran is so wrong and biased. I and many of my Christian friends do not do this. By you doing this...it only widens the gap.

Peapie, you ask a lot of Q about muslims and I like your above comments but why bother any more to bring it up. Nothing will change them except praying specifically for one you know
and since they make the choice, chances are their hatred is so ingrained, that the bible explains such as having "blind eyes and deaf ears". I sometimes pray for God to open those eyes and ears for specific people resisting the moving of the Holy Spirit unto conviction that
"all have sinned and come short of the glory of God". blessings.
Still can't ans. your emails without you designating it in the place you write and I have written and clicked reply and it will not go through. want so much to talk to you and I have unlilmited cellphone but can't give it over so public a place as Q&A-we do have a delimma don't we. Thank you for your sweet words. Prayng God bring us together somehow as nothing is impossible with Him.

All Muslims do respect the prophet Jesus (Peace be upon him)and believe in all the miracles, God , the One, granted him. However, no prophet can justify the wrongdees of his people. Because the main role of a prophet is to convey the message of God. Thus, each person is responsible for his own deeds. What's more,Jesus never claimed to be the son of God. For that the "verses" of the Bible were changed by human hands, God ,the One, took oath on himself to protect the holly book Quran.I do love the prophet Jesus (PBUH) as I do love all the other prophets. I wish you all the very best. Truth:) By the way, I like the answer of majeed 32.

A Muslim might say the historical evidence isn't there. Historically, there is actually not too much we can say about Jesus, and unlike what you have said, he did not have historians following him around. (The historians that wrote about him did so mostly through the ministry of James, Jesus's brother, which is a close enough link for us to be able to claim with much certainty that Jesus existed historically.)
But in my opinion, I think the Bible and the Qur'an say the same things about Jesus, we just bicker over semantics and details.
Remember: All Muslims believe that Jesus was a sinless prophet who was the messiah and savior of Judaism.
Honestly, I don't think the two versions of Jesus are very different at all.
Keny: Actually, Judaism widely does recognize Jesus as a prophet.

The Bible says Jesus is a prophet: "The crowds responded, "that's Jesus, the prophet from Nazareth in Galilee." "- Matthew 21:11 " "What issues?" he asked. "approximately Jesus of Nazareth," they responded. "He replaced right into a prophet, effectual in be conscious and deed until eventually now God and each and each of the human beings." " - Luke 24:19 the place Muslims variety is they don't have faith God could be a human. Jesus in no way explicitly claims to be God in the Bible. There are merely the vaguest allusions that must be interpreted in dissimilar techniques. If Jesus' godhood is the considerable message of his teachings, this is something you may think of he could have declared a minimum of as quickly as in unequivocable words. additionally, this is considerable to comprehend that Muslims don't think the present Bible to be genuine. they are asserting it contains components of fact, yet additionally distortions of fact, which makes it unreliable. They declare merely the Quran is inerrant.

5th Watcher said it correctly " All Muslims believe that Jesus was a sinless prophet who was a messiah and the savior of Judaism".
No any Prophet of God lies or sins.
Muslim accept about Jesus what Allah confirms in Quran.
But Christians don't accept what Quran says about Jesus though Bible is words of translators and not words of God.
"You see me you see the Father". These can never be the words of a Prophet of God. If Bible is true word of God then why they keep changing the words in every new version.
Jesus had few close disciples who were not devoted to Jesus enough to give their lives for Jesus and disappeard when Roman arrested Jesus. Jesus often spoke in parables. His followers may have misunderstood lots of his words. Writers of Bible books wrote them sitting in montasories over 100 years after Jesus was gone without ever going out and interviewing from whom they heards the statements of Jesus. Translators have mixed their own beliefs in translations.
Jesus was neither liar nor a lunatic. We consider it a sin to say that he lied or was lunatic. Muslims never say Jesus was homosexual, bastard or gay. We read such words written by members here with Christian names.
It is misguided Christians who believe words of translators and think these are words of Jesus.
In the absence of original text in the language Jesus spoke, Christians do not have any proof that what they read are the true words of Jesus. They expect world to believe that Jesus was God though in Bible they don't have one clear statement of Jesus saying. "I am God", "I am your Lord", or "I am the creator".
God has written in Quran very clearly not once but nearly hundred times that "Allah is the creator of Heavens and Earth and every thing in between the two".
Allah also say in Quran by swearing that Mohammad is the Messenger of Allah but Christians call Mohammad fake Prophet and Islam a cult because of hatred and jealousy that so many intelligent Christians are converting as Muslims.
Does any cult in this world have 1.4 billion highly devoted followers?.
Christians don't believe Quran and use filthy words for Prophet of God Mohammad. By doing so they add into their own sins for their punishment in hell fire. They mock by asking ridiculous questions and by their insane remarks. It doesn't hurt Muslims. Muslims only laugh at the stupidity of sinful ignorant people.

All "unbelievers", whether they be Muslim or Atheist, can only answer your question in a superficially, humanistic way.
At least most people can concur that God's ways are higher but some of these answers, (Mahjeed's), show that mere humans are trying to figure out God. This is not possible since God is the one that is the intelligent designer that created us.
We can go to God's word to obtain at least some measure of understanding.
...............................................................
1 Corinthians 2:13-15
This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by the Spirit, expressing spiritual truths in spiritual words.
The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned.
The spiritual man makes judgments about all things, but he himself is not subject to any man's judgment:
..................................................................
Those of us that have the Spirit of God living inside of our hearts can understand why you have gotten some of your answers.

"Oh People of the Book! Commit no excesses in your religion, nor say of God anything but the truth. Christ Jesus, the son of Mary, was (no more than) a messenger of God, and His Word which He bestowed on Mary, and a spirit proceeding from Him. So believe in God and His messengers. Say not, 'Trinity.' Desist! It will be better for you, for God is One God, Glory be to Him! (Far exalted is He) above having a son. To Him belong all things in the heavens and on earth. And enough is God as a Disposer of affairs" (Quran 4:171).
The Jews call 'Uzair a son of God, and the Christians call Christ the son of God. That is but a saying from their mouth; (in this) they but imitate what the unbelievers of old used to say. God's curse be on them; how they are deluded away from the Truth! They take their priests and their anchorites to be their lords in derogation of God, and (they take as their Lord) Christ the son of Mary. Yet they were commanded to worship but One God: there is no god but He. Praise and glory to Him! (Far is He) from having the partners they associate (with Him)" (Qur'an 9:30-31).
And of course Jesus never teach bout Trinity whatsoever. Show me anywhere in the Bible the term Trinity or at least Christian, just show me the verse.

I may not be pro-muslim but how can you explain how adam and eve were supposed to know it was bad to disobey god if they didnt know the difference between right and wrong? and how do you justify the great flood? I mean he killed several people and innocent animals.
And how is god supposed to be all loving and forgiving when he sends people who havent accepted Jesus to hell even if they were good people. Sounds more like a result from narcissism than anything else.
