For those that believe a baby is a 'gift from God'. And God doesn't make 'mistakes'...how do you explain miscarriages?

Don't read too much into the question, just explain please.

I'm asking 'pro-lifers' because usually when the topic of abortion comes up, they are the ones that say...a baby is a gift from God. I have never heard a pro-choicer say that...

The same way I would explain a two year old, or a ten year old, or a 30 year old dying. Death is the result of the fallen condition of man. The fact that a person dies does not mean that God does not consider them human. Somehow it fits in His plan, even though we may not understand it at all, and if we trust Him, he can heal our hearts of the pain.

I believe that the three most sacred and important things in "life" are:

(1) the personal relationship with the one true God

(2) the relationship with the person you love

(3) new life

Yes, I believe that a baby IS a "gift from God". No, I don't understand why miscarriages happen. No, I can't explain them.

Do I believe that God can make mistakes? No.

Do I understand all of God's plan? No.

But, I continue to put my faith and trust in His love and mercy.

ps: While I am personally VERY opposed to abortion ... at the same time I support a woman's right to make decisions. Yes, I know that that statement flies in the face of a LOT of "black/white", "right/wrong", "either/or" groups.

I support a woman's rights on this issue, but admit I am conflicted. As a Humanist, I view the protection of human life as a cardinal virtue. God has nothing to do with it, as I am an atheist.

It does seem a valid point of contention to ask, at what point are we talking about what is just for two lives. It seems both camps have made up their minds on this point. That is a shame, as I feel it could be resolved, and both side might yet find common ground. Just one man's ideas.

I am pro-life (anti-abortion actually) but God has nothing to do with my beliefs.

Everyone has a time to die. Some die old, some die very young. Everything has its own circumstances. They just dont need to be helped along with death whether very old or very young. Its God's business in the life process. Not ours.

I am pro-choice. Abortion can be avoided with abstinence, birth control and use of condoms.
