I have a very negative view on terrorists. Not on Islam.

Islam is not a violent religion. It is, however, still Islam that's being used by certain people to justify their terrorist activities.

GREAT QUESTION! But wait! Why are you accusing 'everyone' of a negative view of Muslims???? It's surely not everyone. Yes, there is a lot of anti-islam feeling intensified by the attacks. It reminds me of the anti-communist Japanese sentiments during WWII. Even "Dr. Seuss" became very racist against Japanees and Germans. Illustrated by some of his lesser know works.

A good joke (that is true) would be wait 50 years, and it won't be Muslims, it will some other race/culture/religion being scapegoated...

Islam has been hijaked by a few crazy extremists and they have called a holy war on the West. It is human nature that reacts with anger, to anger. That is what many in the West are caught up in- reactionary anger. Based in fear.

A normal person (Muslim or not) could get space from all of this intercultural bickering. And review the facts; that it is not Religion, but mental illness causing these problems, etc.

The people who can't sooth thier fears and let thier anger become blind might do this because they have some vested reason in being angry or scapegoating.

You asked for the mechanics and I'm giving it to you. Between angrey people this becomes a virus. An example, is a Muslim who has been persecuted by someone might see someone who looks similar to the person who persecuted him and reacts with dislike to this person. This random person picks up on that he is being disliked by this fellow (who happens to be Muslim). and that anger is contagious- getting passed back and forth for no good reason. And it is possible that the Muslim issue isn't even picked up on by the other fellow. He just doesn't like someone looking at him angrily. You can also flip those roles.

I like to think that this blind anger towards Muslims (or anyother group) doesn't reflect how most people feel, most of the time.

I think you are overgeneralizing about other people feel about a group. Clearly, your perception has been biased because it is not only my post that is firmly Muslim Neutral. Don't catch the virus.

Because the Islamic militants do nothing but create murder, horror on ever thing they touch, even kill their own people, women and children. They take the Fathers from their home, the children are hysterical and a widow left to support them.

Tell me how does a woman in a Islamic country support their self and the children, since they are treated worse than dogs??

If you have a positive view and the good they do I would like to know what can be spoken about these radical Muslim militants?!

Look at these groups, say Hamas for instance they daily fire rockets and missile's daily into Israel.

If I had control over Israel, and Hamas continue own with their weapon strikes, I can assure you they wouldn't be standing long.

Hamas has forced their own people into poverty, How could they, especially the children, the elderly and the women?

Hamas always seem to have plenty of assault guns, they could benefit there people more by selling all this artillery and feed their people.

Probably because of the terrorist attacks and such.

I'm well aware that these people are fanatics using religion as an excuse for violence, but what is Islam as a whole doing to neutralise these people? Not a lot, it would seem. Islam needs some serious public relations - and eliminating their radical elements would be a great start.

I had a very negative view of Islam prior to the terrorist attacks.. 9/11 had no effect of my view regarding Islam since my view is based on Islamic teachings and the inequalities I see as inherent to the teachings....

I personally don't hate all Muslims, but I know alot of people who do, including my mom. I believe it is because they do little to discourage or stop terrorism, or even dissassociate themselves from the screwups who are getting all of the attention. It didn't help that after the 9/11 attacks, I watched video of Palestinians dancing in the street like their soccer team just won the world cup.

Also, the terrorist attacks caused everyone to look at the religion with a greater microscope. When muslims do stupid things (like punishing a girl who was raped, demanding the death of a teacher who allowed a kid to name a teddy bear muhammed, or burning down buildings and killing dozens because some person who made a bad joke about muhammed), they need to undestand they are at a higher level of scrutiny.

I understand that many of them are great people, and I have muslim friends. However, I do think the muslim community should take a greater effort to police it's own.

First, i'd such as you to commend you on your tolerance. 2nd, in answer on your query, Muslims such as you're a uncommon breed international. through fact of radicalization, the user-friendly Muslim is a lot extra illiberal of alternative's ideals than the user-friendly Christian or user-friendly Hindu presently. you reside in Turkey, it somewhat is likely one among the main liberal Muslim-majority international locations on earth, so returned, I congratulate you. If extra Muslims have been such as you, then Islam does no longer have this way of stigma. the fact keeps to be, whether, that islam has a unfavorable theory given it somewhat is on user-friendly between the extra illiberal and violent faiths available. Democracies like India, U.S., Israel and so on. have experienced this firsthand. optimistically, this would substitute by way of the years.

Well before the attacks we didn't really pay much attention to what your religion was all about. After we were attacked by Radical Islam we decided to investigate...Then we realized how barbaric and insane a religion Islam really is. I will do whatever I can to keep it out of my country. A time is now coming where calling someone an Islamaphobe is going to be a compliment.

Hmm.

Interesting question.

A group MURDERS thousands of innocent people. Others in the same group not only fail to denounce or condemn these acts of MURDER, but they actively celebrate and rejoice in the streets.

The majority of muslims were either celebrating in the streets or sitting quietly by.

The true nature of islam was presented to the world.

Kind of hard to ignore that, don't you think?

Ever since I read the koran in the 1970s, I knew that islam was, and is, a religion of evil.
