I have no idea if this has been on YA before, but the first third of this film, attempts to prove that christianity is, like most other religions, founded based on a huge conglomerations of other religious ideas.

It's at least an interesting film, even if you don't agree with it. Be warned, if you don't have alot of experience with the ideas presented here, it can be very convincing, it is well-presented, at least. Don't let one source decide your mind.

The last two thirds are your basic conspiracy theory setups, if you have interest in the subject.

Just to clarify, I am not claiming it's accuracy, or stating whether or not I agree with it. I'm just promoting free thought, and seeing what you guys think.

I wish people would not put crap like this out.

Yahweh's Toaster gives a nice debunk of it.

This is atheists resorting to the creationist tactic of lies, distortions and half truths. It really does not help the position of us other atheists who have (IMHO) valid arguments against religion.

First time I saw the first 1/3 I thought interesting, but to fast, to glossy, to pat to take at face value. When I saw the next part on the 9/11 'conspiracy' I knew that the first part was totally untrustworthy.

The 1st third is actually well thought out and well supported. The other 2/3rds is pretty much ridiculous.

I sometimes wonder if the real purpose of the zeitgeist movie was to discredit the legitimate history of Christianity (and Islam) by associating that with whacko 9/11 and world bank conspiracy stuff that most people will not take seriously. ...oooh. ...another conspiracy!

Those who are not familiar with the Word of God, the Bible will be deceived by many philosophy's and strange doctrines, because they have no foundation in Jesus Christ. From the beginning we have been warned end times will be like this, where evil is called good and good is called evil and wolves in sheep's clothing will sneak in to silly women and they will be taken unawares. Just like "upside down Christmas trees" are being touted as "room savers" and completely innocent. And no one should mention Christ in Christmas just Happy Holidays, Christ hung on a tree, Peter was turned upside down on the cross, and the upside down cross carries various un Christian connotations, little by little those that would wipe Christ from human hearts work towards their goal, little seemingly insignificant changes and deletions go unobserved by those who do not stand ready to defend their faith. Giving the reason for their faith and hope in Jesus Christ needs to be a priority in every Christians life! The heavens and the earth are about to be shaken, more and more evidence will emerge showing the strong war that is forming againest Christianity! Put on the full armor of God Ephisians 6:12 "We wrestle not with flesh and blood." Read it inform yourselves. Merry Christmas! Happy Birthday Jesus!

Yeah... Christianity, just like ALL major religions in human history from zuse to Chist and each and every diety in between, proves itself as imagionary...

If any of these religions are the "true" one and each is out to prove the other wrong then how can any of them possibly be true...

Religion is just something for small minded people to use to keep themselves from blowing their brains out when they realize that they are not special little snow flakes that are all part of a grand plan!

I pitty those that can't accept that they are the only masters of their world and what they choose to make of it.

It may end up only convincing a few Christians away from Christianity. Most Christians who see this movie will not be effected or persuaded, and those that do will more than likely return to Christianity eventually.

Some things in Zeitgeist are slightly inaccurate. You can't believe everything you see/watch/read.

Zeitgeist is still an enjoyable movie. :]

Not the first time. Won't be the last. I did not become a Christian until I was 18 years old. Before that, I tried to debunk it and made fun of it, myself. When I asked God, Himself, to prove Himself real to me, without people trying to persuade me, He did. Overwhelmingly so.

I know Him whom I believe.

I don't need a movie to debunk Christianity, Being a Theology major is enough for me.
