I just did a BMI thing and it said I was 1 pound underweight. I don't have an eating disorder or anything, I'm just a small person. My dad was underweight and my mom was also very tiny, so I guess it's genetics. I don't get sick very often and when I do I recover fine.
I eat a lot. I eat a lot of fast food, and fattening food, but I never gain weight. My parents were the same way when they were younger, and they're pretty thin even now.
I don't look disgustingly skinny, I'm usually told that people are jelous of my size.
Is me being underweight putting me at risk for anything?

the bmi is nothing to be taken to scale, 1 pound shouldn't harm you as girls fluctuate 5+/5- but keep in mind its a fine line in between skinny and healthy, the reproductive system is the first thing the body sacrifices and osteoporosis is always something to keep in mind cos its in adolescents that the body absorbs 70% of its needed calcium, magnesium, potassium etc.. but malnutriution is worse then being over weight cos it effects so much that is taken for granted eg. mood swings and controlled temperments, generally depression and violence plant there roots here so mental health is very critical and sensitive. everyone will most likely suffer an eating disorder at some point but if your happy that itself is very important. sorry for long reply.

If your underweight by 1 pound i'm sure you have nothing to be worried about.. People can be naturally skinny and that's normal. The only risk is that your eating a lot of fast foods, and fattening foods. Which isn't healthy

A lot of people are naturally really thin, you probably have a very high metabolism. You shouldn't have anything to worry about since you aren't suffering from an eating disorder or anything. Still, just watch how much fast food and fatty foods you eat, even at a smaller weight, it can still harm the body. But overall, you're fine.

You're ONE Pound Underweight?! :) Heck, I can't even say you're at serious risk of being blown away by a strong wind! :) The only "risk" You run- is being unmercifully TEASED by half the people here on Yahoo Answers! :) Find something alittle more "substantial"- to worry about... :)
