A little background info... My dad died when I was 11, I'm 21 now. Him and I were really close, and for the last 10 years I have missed him so much. He was a great father. He did the best he could for us. His death was tragic, and I deal with it everyday.
Well I keep having this dream. Different circumstances every time, but in general they're all the same. Like this last one, our family and I were shopping, with my Dad, and I'm so happy he's back with me, it's like he never was gone. But then suddenly, he either disappears, or dies again, and I'm left, waking up from my sleep, devastated, and completely disappointed.
I don't really know what they mean, and I don't like having them. because these dreams really hurt me. It's like he's dying again and again. I can't take the pain to begin with, and to experience it over and over again, it's too much.

Actually, I think you might be suffering from PTSD or at the least, a chronic adjustment disorder. The dream itself probably means exactly what it seems to mean...you are reliving your loss over and over again and each time you do it, those synaptic pathways are being reinforced. You should seriously consider getting therapy to deal with the loss and help break the cycle you keep going through.

Are you dating someone that reminds you of ya dad?? You really miss him and have to be at peace with him being gone. Both my parents died a long time ago , and i never saw either of them in my dream once they died, but when they were alive i did have a prophetic dream of them.
Maybe ya dad is trying to warn you or tell you something. maybe he wants you to discover the details of his death.
