How do you make the 1337est Grilled Cheese?

Question

I want to make the bomb grilled cheese. I want any and all suggestions. There are only a few components.

Bread
Cheese
Butter

Possible other additions: sauce with the cheese / seasoning

What would the best possible ingredients for each be?

Egg coated, with ham-- if you don't want ham, you can do without

INGREDIENTS
1 egg
salt and pepper to taste
2 tablespoons butter, divided
2 slices Italian bread
2 teaspoons mayonnaise
2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
4 thin slices ham
2 slices Swiss cheese


DIRECTIONS
In a shallow dish that will be large enough to dip your sandwich in, whisk the egg with some salt and pepper. Set aside.
Melt 1 tablespoon of butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Spread the mayonnaise and mustard onto one slice of bread. On the other slice, layer the ham and cheese. Place the slices together to enclose the ingredients.
Carefully and quickly, dip each side in the beaten egg, and place in the hot buttered skillet. Cook until golden brown on the bottom, then melt the remaining butter in the skillet. Flip the sandwich, and cook until browned on the other side

Texas toast (or a big piece of French bread INSIDE OUT...in other words, with the crusty part touching the cheese, buttered on the outside)
1 slice cheddar
1 slice monterrey jack
Sprinkle Parmesan cheese
Sauteed Onions
Crumbled bacon (cooked)
Fresh ground black pepper

This is unbelievably good.

Whatever else you do, shred your cheese before adding it to the sandwich. It will melt more evenly and at a lower temperature.

Dip your grilled cheese sandwiches in a mixture of ketchup and tobasco sauce.

Bread - multigrain whole wheat
Cheese - sharp cheddar and monterey jack
Grilled with garlic butter and a light coating of mayo on the inside of the sandwich. (or you can use sandwich spread which is similar to thousand island dressing)
