Do you feel the Choirs on the show were voted off by actual choir performance and talent, song choice, or the popularity of the choir leaders? I was really hurt when Michael Bolton got voted off so early :(

I'm sure I'll get accused of 'being angry' by the crybabies in here for my answer but here it goes.

Clash of the Choirs is proof positive that fan voting shows are a crock.
No way in the world should Nick Lachey's choir won last night, and I'm from Cincinnati. Their choir was probably 3rd or 4th at best.

Patti's choir was the best from day one. Most people who probably voted never even heard of her.

I'll bet that a majority of Nick's choir's votes came from girls and women who think he's 'hot'. Talent wasn't even a factor.

Personally I think show that have fans voting on TALENT should change their format. Let people who really know how to evaluate talent make the choices.

Wasn't the hostess Nick's girlfriend? It was just plain rigged!
Patti's choir won HANDS DOWN! Her group delivered a stellar performance each and every night! Songs like: He's Got the Whole World in His Hands, No More Drama, and The Most Wonderful Time of the Year, put Patti's choir above the top. Right up to final voting night, Patti's choir never failed to deliver. There was no way she lost. They are NOT a second place choir! They are the winners in MY book, and I'm NOT the only one who thinks so. If my boyfriend were hosting a competition in which I was in, or my group were in, I would have been disqualified from competing. Why was this even allowed to happen? No one is even questioning the conflict of interest? He lives with the hostess for goodness sake!
Patti's team won, but for some reason, Channel 5 not only allowed Nick to have a team in the competition, but they let him win too. These choirs were voted off because of an entirely different agenda---to boost Nick's career.

I felt that the right choir won. I'm not just saying that because I am a Nick Lachey fan. His choir is the only one that sung as a whole choir. Patti used the same 3 "soloist" and had the rest of the choir sing back up. And by the way darrin b, the host was Maria Menounos and if Nick is dating her, this is news to EVERYONE. Because last time I checked he and Vanessa Minnillo were an item.

I am no expert at judging a choir, but I based my vote on voice quality, harmony and being in sync. All that plus the wow factor. Patti's team was tops in all three. Just because Lachey didn't have anybody that could sing a solo doesn't mean they were the best "team". Patti's team went 5 deep on solo vocals, but the backgrounds were tight and she was the most impressive at leading them to blow the roof off the place. Their first song on the first night set the tone and nobody came close to that the rest of the way. However, it is a popularity contest and Lachey won for whatever reason. Too bad.

I'm not saying that Patti's choir wasn't fantastic, but she utilized soloists so much - a choir is the mixture of voices. In Team Lachey, there were no star voices or people singled out - it was all of them together most of the time. They had great chemistry, choreography and voices - and all meshed together, winners. The look on Nick's face when it was announced was amazing. He really didn't think they would win over Patti's choir. I also thought that Blake Shelton did an amazing job with his choir - especially with no experience in that kind of singing, unlike the other competitors.

I was about to post my own question about clash of the choirs... but first i will answer yours: I think the winner of the show fit the taste of the viewing audience best. In my home, my parents rooted for Patti while I rooted for Nick. Popularity was not a factor because Patti is arguably the most famous and talented person on the show. I think Nick's group had the most chemistry and that shined on the TV. The winning group had great voices, choreography and they had a nice leader. In the end, I likened it to Jordin Sparks beating Melinda Doolittle on American Idol- talent is one thing but if you do not cater to the majority of the viewing audience you cannot win.

Nick Lachey won? It should have been Patti LaBelle's choir that should have won. Her choir always had a great performance! Nick's team was okay but Patti and Blake's choirs were just mind blowingly good.

I agree with Star's comment "I'm not saying that Patti's choir wasn't fantastic, but she utilized soloists so much - a choir is the mixture of voices. In Team Lachey, there were no star voices or people singled out - it was all of them together most of the time."

I also feel the four other choirs were much more diverse. Even Patti's charity only benefited one ethnicity instead of people as a whole.

I think it's more of a popularity of choir leaders, although truly patti's choir is the best, and i'm not just saying that b/c i'm from philly but she's Patti. yeah i would have love to see michael and patti go head to head.
