No such thing as a quite deer gun, but hey since your already breaking the law here's a good suggestion,
go late at night when everyones asleep and use a high powered spot light.

There is no rifle that is THAT quiet without some modification, and as you have already been informed trespassing is a criminal offense.BAD IDEA..
FYI.... Hamrrfan.....There are currently 37 states in the United States that allow the possession of Silencers/Suppressors. You must complete an application to BATFE and after a complete background check, and submission of fingerprints as part of this application process. Once approved you need only purchase a $200 Tax Stamp and it is 100% LEGAL...

Thre is no such thing as a silent high powered rifle, without adding a surpressor, which takes a lot of paper work and clearence to get.

Silencers are NOT against federal law. Some states like Illinois and Hawaii prohibit them You can own a machine gun also. You have to obtain from the ATF a tax stamp in the amount of $200.00 for suppressors or machine guns and $5.00 for a short bbl rifle. That being said, if its NOT against the law in your state to hunt with a suppressor... go for it. But suppressors kill velocity.

The Swedish 6.5x55mm has a comparatively faint report. As others have mentioned, no big game rifle is going to be "quiet." Some are louder than others.

If you are hunting, where you shouldn't be ( it is called poaching ), you deserve to get caught.
It is things like what you are asking, that give the rest of us NON poachers a bad name.
Hunt legally & you won't have to fear someone hearing you shoot

A bow is the only quiet option.
Just remember, most dont take kindly to such illegal actions. Game&Fish officers dont mess around, serious penalty

luckily here in uk we can use sound moderators without a problem.the police cant really refuse you permission for one as there is fear of claims for loss of hearing due to being refused one.i have on all rifles, the biggest being .243 and the noise level is on par with .22 rimfire firing high velocities.cuts down on recoil immensly.
