if you keep food in a closet, and it gets moldy, and then you throw it away and close the closet, will the clothes inside the closet be contaminated with mold? even if they don't smell moldy?

also, i've had a cough for a really long time and i went to the doctor, who gave me allergy meds. all i have is a dry cough, no other allergy symptoms. is this b/c of mold?

Many mold spores are microscopic and they can spread everywhere by picking up a garment that is moldy. The spores could be on a lot of things in the closet, and smell is only an indicator of living mold - the spores don't smell because they are dormant. You cough could be from mold, but there's no way to know for certain unless you get tested by an allergist.
