like if i wanted to go to channel 40.1?? we have it, but can't get to it on auto for some reason today... we tried to rescan, but nothing. now we're like wondering if we can manually input it??
this is so frustrating, lol...

On my USDTV receiver you just hit the right arrow for the . but on my DVD burner (Magnavox I think) you just hit the three numbers and it adds the . 401 turns into 40.1
Knowing your Receiver type would help.

My Sony HDTV remote has the dot button. I can key in any digital channels if I know the number.

Your Remote should have a "." or "_" button to enter digital channels
