Tums gives you the most immediate relief. You should take Zantac OTC. I have used them all and found this one to be best. Take 2 at a time. If cost is an issue, you can get generic at Walmart or Sam's. If it persists you should see a doctor to find out the cause. Good luck.
Asylum92 belongs in an asylum. Aspirin is the worse thing you can take. Coffee is the next worse.

My Dr. had me take two over-the-counter Pepcids three times a day for 10 days.
He then told me to take two tablets up to three times a day, as needed, after the 10 days were up. It's helped alot. I've been using his advice for the last 12 years.
Try it and see if it works for you. They're cheaper than prescriptions.

You want a permanent remedy go see your doctor...you want a quick home remedy mix one tablespoon baking soda with 4oz water and drink it...disgusting I know..but my friend swears on this. I have never tried it! But makes sense for the baking soda to be a buffer for the acidity...hope you feel better soon.
