so i've always gone to dates with girls that were my girlfriends, now im going on a double date to the movies with my best friend and his gf, and me and this girl. my question is, usually i paid for my gf, but this time she isn't, should i still pay?
also i have got this new hat for a couple of days, and i wear it all the time, should i wear it then too, or do women find that disrespectful?

I would pay. Just a nice thing to do on a first date. And the hat, if it is how you typically are seen, I'd wear it. Unless you are doing something that it is inappropriate for.

Yes, if you (or your friend) invited her to go you should pay. When you wear any one piece of apparel all the time it begins to look sort of like a uniform. Lose the hat.

i dont know about that hat but at the movies i would go dutch. when i dated my ex for 2 and 1/2 years and us in love we always paid for our own thing on our own. good luck!

here is a trick that i use first i go then i tell them i think i forgot my wallet at home when it's really in my back pocket. if she pays then you ok but if she dont have money then say you think you left it in the car and act like your looking for it. then you have no chose but to pay for it trick works for me

Well if you asked the girl out then you should pay! If she asked you out she should pay! Or you can take her somewhere that doesnt cost anything and see how she reacts to that!

Girls dont care about hats.
Only if you wear them to church or something its disrepectful.
The only rule on who should pay is "If you asked her, you pay. She asked you, she pays. Mutual decision, its split."
If the second ever happens to come about, its very much appreciated and extra brownie points if you buy like, popcorn or something. =)
