How do you reformat your computer using vista installation disk?

I want to install xp.

I have both vista and xp i just want to reformat it cause i heard you can reformat it using the vista cd

If you want to install XP first you need to go to the makers of your PC and get all the drivers for that model PC and put them on a disk Then you need to get a copy of Windows XP..a real one...then put the XP disk in and choose the format and install option...after it has installed you need to add the drivers
I have done this to many PC's because at the moment Vista sucks

You should not use the vista disk but the XP one! Boot on your windows XP CD, press any key and go through the steps.

It will only work if don't have Bit Locker encryption on....

You can't install XP from a Vista disk. You have to buy an XP lisence.

If you don't want to buy a lisence, try linux. It's free.

Why? Aren't you going to give Vista a chance? If you set it to "classic view," it will resemble XP which may help you get around.

If Vista was "bundled" with your computer and you uninstall it, you will have nothing, and will then have to buy XP. Why not try to work with Vista.
