No, silly.

The devil did that.

Why seven days anyway? Is he not powerful enough to create everything immediately upon his will?

A lot of the Bible is a result of interpretation by human beings that don't have the mental capacity to understand the vastness of God or the Universe.

I doubt the world was created in just six days. Some argue that the concept of a "day" is not the same as the 24 hour time period that we currently experience. Some say that the creation and all was "outside of time" so that should pretty much negate any arguements about the world being created in 6 days.

I think there may be some sort of metaphor or symbolism with the number 6.

In any event, I don't think it is really helpful to get caught up on details like this, that don't make logical sense in the physical or metaphysical world.

Consider this, all matter in the universe was concentrated into a very small area. This thing became unstable and it all went "BANG!!!!!!!". Matter was thrown all around the place. Some of it formed stars and some of it formed planets that gradually cooled and became like Earth.

What's the problem with this? From our observations of galaxies, that seems to be what happened.

I think for a literal creationist to say that creation happened in 6 days would be saying that God is deceptive.

If time exists for God, then was there a beginning to time? Does god age? Can god die? If there is a before and after for god, what was before god? If god is subject to time, is time greater than god?

Should we worship time? We're all slaves to it anyway. We wear our religious garb on our wrists, and hang symbols of the Lord time on our walls. Why not make it an official religion?

'heaps of jokes'? Nah, there are PLENTY of thing in this world that point to the Creator...you just have to be willing to take off the 'evolution' blinders that have been put on us in the hopes of removing God from our hearts and minds. 2 Peter 3:5 even tells us that this is what was coming!

"Better to twist it into a godless fairytale I guess."

This is funny. A religious person calling science a fairytale.

I hope Osama bin Laden doesn't call me and tell me about pacifism

No its more like the Earth was formed over millions and millions of years. No jokes about it just a complicated mixture of gases, solids and gravity.

To the first responder: your avatar looks like a redneck hick, what's your point? and to the asker: 1) I like to think god has a sense of humor :), and besides, who says six days to us, is six days to a god.
