Okay so I got a Sharp Aquos TV that was hooked up while I was at work. I came home and everything, i.e. my Comcast DVR and Samsung DVD player, were hooked up. However, I am going through input select and set up and all that fun stuff and I cannot get anything to come in on the TV. Granted, I don't know what HDMI means so that might be important, but basically, does anyone know how to set up a Sharp Aquos TV to work with Digital Cable, and if so...HELP!

If you have "Digital Cable" - you have a cable box.

Trace the wire from the cable box to the TV. The jack on the TV should say something like "Ant1", "SVideo1", "Component 1", "HDMI 1", etc.

Once you know the name of the jack they hooked up, use your remote to change to that input. If it is HDMI - it might take a few seconds to handshake.

(We really need to know what kind of cables you have hooked up between the TV and the DVD player and Cable box to get more specific.)

Strong suggestion: That "Comcast DVR" is likely standard def and wont look good on that high-resolution set. Call the Cable TV company and upgrade to a high-def DVR. It will make a huge difference.

You can see if Samsung has a firmware update but the manufactures are sticking behind unless you have a HD box, you get no HD. Try reprogramming the channels again and see what happens.
