This is a rip off; don't respond. But I'm curious. What information do you believe that only MasterCard would have? Email me or post as additional information on your question. (I'm not asking for the personal details, only the type of information.)

If this is the notification im thinking it may be (the one from England) it states that there is a deposit box with lottery winnings in it in your name. It may also appear to have a Legal Soliciters name on it. Do NOT respond to it, it is a scam. As for the one from Mastercard, do not respond to email notifications of any kind. You can contact Mastercard directly and let them know about the email and they can verify if its authentic or not, but my money is on the Not. Banks and credit card company's usually only contact you via snail mail, and will never ask you to send personal information. When they need information from you, they will send you a letter asking you to contact them. Hope this helps.

I work at a bank and I get probably 5 of these calls a week. Some of the people actually get a check that looks real and they deposit it.. They are usually around $5,000 but they always bounce and we charge a fee for bounced check and they have been scammed. The thieves get your banking account information that way... When you think about it, why would you win the lottery in another country that you never signed up for? Remember, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is... Be careful!!

Do not reply to it. It is a scam. Do not give any info & delete it from your computer.
