about 3 months ago i was given a perscription for tylenol 3 but i never used it because my strep throat and pain had gon the next day and didnt need it at all. well i still have it. i have really really horrible migranes and headaches. whats the difference between a migrane and a headache?? and can you take tylenol #3 for a migrane and/or headache?? which one? or both?

it will probably help for either one, it has both codeine and some common painkiller, so its at very least the same as a normal tylenol or aspirin but probably pretty effective

Tylenol 3 is acetaminophen with codeine. Dentists prescribe it alot,,, or used to. You can use it for anything granting you pain, but if your migraines are too intense it may not help.
Go to webmd.com, and for yourself read about the apllications of tylenol3 and the medical properties of a migraine.

It's just a more powerful pain reliever than regular tylenol. It'd probably help, but not everybody has the same response to the same drugs.
But the reason this is a prescription drug is because it has some potential to be addictive, so be aware of that.

tylenol #3 is a narcotic pain killer. You can try using it for a migraine, but it has been my experience that it doesn't work.
Be aware, it is addictive. The side effects include nausea, and sedation, so don't plan on going anywhere or doing anything if you take it.
